WildFlowers Of The Rensselaer Plateau

The Rensselaer Plateau Alliance invites you to a wildflower lecture with Tom Phillips on March 9 at the Sand Lake Town Hall. [private]Tom will give a presentation of photos of some of the more interesting flowering plants and their habitats in Rensselaer County with some emphasis on the Rensselaer Plateau.

An avid and lifelong Botanist, Tom has been active with the NY Flora Association, has been the coordinator for the Friday Field Group for over 10 years, and has participated in numerous botanical surveys in the greater Capital Distract area. One of his more recent interests has been the study of mosses and lichens. In his spare time, Tom is a veterinarian at the Nassau Veterinary Clinic.

Wildflowers of the Rensselaer Plateau is part of the 2016-2017 RPA monthly lecture series.  Lectures are held on the second Thursday of the month at Sand Lake Town Hall at 7 pm.  There is a $5 suggested donation at the door.  All are welcome.  For more information and for lecture topics for 2016-2017, visit the RPA webpage, www.rensselaerplateau.org. [/private]
