A vehicle went off the south side of Route 7 Monday morning, resulting in one man being taken to Southwestern Vermont Medical Center.[private]It was undetermined what happened but it was possible the man, Paul Wallace, 67, of the Town of Hoosick, suffered some type of medical distress.

The accident occured just west of McNeilly’s and Hobson’s floral shops.

The car, a late model Subaru, left the road and went through a 50 foot opening between sets of cable guard wires, then the car traveled parallel to the road for about 100 feet before hitting a large sign post.
