The Stephentown Volunteer Fire Department sold out of corned beef in the last few minutes of their 19th annual Corned Beef Dinner fundraiser this past Saturday. [private]They cooked nearly 400 pounds of corned beef and served 315 people. This is a 10% increase over last year. With generous donations and help from Hilltown Pork, Kilventon Fruit & Produce, Bill Doran Company, the Eastwick Press, Jiminy Peak, and members of the community the dinner was a great success. The young volunteers from TRACS and Boy Scout Troop#222 really made a big difference. The department would like to thank these businesses, groups, and the community for the great support. The next event at the fire hall is Texas Hold ‘em on March 18.[/private]
