No Opposition To A Subdivision Proposal At Grafton Public Hearing
By Doug La Rocque
Back in January, County Route 85 (Madonna Lake Rd.) resident John Brown asked the Grafton Planning Board to allow him to separate 4.8 acres of his land out of his total 38-acre property. [private]Following the public hearing Monday night at which no one spoke, the Board approved his request, with Board Chairman Tom Withcuskey declaring there was no significant adverse effect upon the environment.
The Board also heard a request from Mary Farrell on Simon Road, who wants to transfer 1.2 acres of her land to Farrell Homes, a company owned by her son Charles. The request is a lot line adjustment rather than a subdivision. The boundary line between the two properties will be adjusted to allow for the current placement of Mr. Farrell’s modular homes, erected as models for his business. The Board accepted her application and short SEQRA form.
With no other business presented, the meeting was adjourned. [/private]
