The Hoosick Falls bowling team bounced back in their return home as they defeated Corinth on Thursday, taking all 4 points in the match. [private]Hoosick Falls finished with a pin total of 3144 to Corinth’s 1991. Senior co-captain Jon Bossoni led the Panther bowlers with a 224-623. Sophomore Meghan Backes and 8th Grader Erin McCart were not far behind, posting a 203-575 and a 195-550 respectively. McCart’s 195 came in her first varsity game of the year, while 7th Grader Brody Mullen also saw his first varsity action, adding a 180 game of his own. With the win the Panthers move to a 22-2 point record on the year and have won 5 out of their first 6 matches. On Tuesday they will have one of their toughest tests of the year, as they travel on the road to face longtime rival Fort Edward.
The Hoosick Falls bowling team lost its first match of the year on Tuesday losing all 4 points on the road against Fort Edward. Hoosick Falls had a match total of 3,133 pins to Fort Edward’s 3,579. Senior co-caption Jon Bossoni led the Panthers with a 257-666. Sophomores Meg Backes and Chris Snyder followed his lead with 257-531 and 188-508 respectively. On the home side, Fort Edward held nothing back posting a number of top scores including: Natalie Perras 268-685, Jacob Krywy 246-629, Tyler Stone 214-629, and Brenton DeLisle 226-626.
