Last fall Assemblyman Steve McLaughlin’s office announced that two area libraries were getting grant monies to improve their entrance ways, those being the Cheney Library in Hoosick Falls and the Grafton Community Library.[private] Grafton recently completed the improvements with the construction of a new handicapped ramp and steps leading into the building’s front door.
The grant also paid for a rebuilding of the stairway leading to the building’s basement. The library was closed for a week during the construction phase but re-opened September 19 with its sparkling new look. Photo by Doug La Rocqueve.[/private]
