The Autumn 2016 Feat Meet hosted by NEFPV at Gardner’s Field will run from Friday to Sunday October 7 to 9. Last year’s very successful and popular North American FPV Meet was also held at Gardner’s.[private] NEFPV is the Northeastern United States organization of fans and enthusiasts of video piloting of remote control aircraft. (FPV stands for “first person view.”) RC hobbyists tend not to use the term “drone” but for those not in the know, and even those in the know, it’s easier to say than quadcopter or multi rotor RC aircraft.
In any case, the Feat Meet is billed as a casual free-fly event with contests, stunts and competitions such as kick-the-can, FPV limbo, and fastest mile out and back among others. There will be fixed-wing and multiroter races, free flight, night flying, vendors, raffles, prizes and camping. Anyone who loves FPV is welcome to participate and everyone is welcome to come and observe, talk to the pilots and find out more about remote control piloting and drones. Those interested in participating in the contests can register in advance at Featmeet.com.[/private]
