Two weeks ago Grafton Lakes State Park held its first Cinema on the Beach, screening the popular Disney children’s movie Ratatouille, the story of a French rat who dreams of becoming a chef. [private]Park Manager Melissa Miller was delighted with the turnout of nearly 300 people for the family night. The event was funded by a New York State grant.
So successful was the event, the park is planning another Cinema on the Beach this Friday night, August 19, this time with a twist. Park Naturalist Liz Wagner says it’s date night and the movie is a romantic classic. Licensing restrictions prohibit the park from announcing the title of the movie, but Wagner said it is one that will get you up and dancing. The event is free and open to the public – no prior reservations are needed. You just might have the time of your life.[/private]
