young ones that included a dunking booth, bounce house and face painting. The Rensselaer County Sheriff’s Department was also on hand to produce child identification cards. Grafton Town Supervisor Ingrid Gundrum called it “a great feel-good evening for the Town,” and wished to thank Deputy Town Supervisor Tom Withcuskey, the Grafton Fire Department and Ladies Auxiliary and all those

who helped bring the whole event together. Gundrum also said the affair did not cost Grafton taxpayers a single cent. The costs associated with the Fun Night were covered by funds raised that evening, and by a $1,000 donation from the R.J. Valente Company, which operates a mining operation in the Town. Many in attendance expressed their appreciation for the night out.

Chris Halse of Grafton was there with his wife and family, and called it “an absolutely great event.” Others were of the same opinion, and expressed a hope something similar might be planned in the future for the iconic Town Park.
