The Grafton Summer Festival

The Grafton Summer Festival is scheduled for Saturday, July 16 at the Grafton Town Park on NYS Route 2, one mile east of the State Park entrance.
For over 25 years the Festival has been held and has featured a craft fair and flea market. [private]This year a record number of vendors is expected, as is music, singing and entertainment all day.
Among the activities are a Civil War reenactors encampment with authentic tents, equipment and weapons, including a cannon.
Our Lady of the Snow, Mission of Our Lady of Victory, will sponsor a chicken BBQ with up to 300 meals to be served on site or for take-out, from 12:00 noon until the meals are sold out. Homemade baked goods will also be on sale by the ladies of Our Lady of the Snow Mission.
The Girl Scouts of Grafton will be providing hamburgers, hotdogs, sausage and peppers and cold soft drinks. In the morning they will be providing coffee, donuts and other breakfast items for the vendors and patrons.
Our Lady of Victory Youth Ministry will be selling popcorn and doing face painting and other youth-oriented activities.
As always, Sister Kenan McGowan’s Memorial Giant Raffle will be continued with tickets available from most parishioners of Our Lady of the Snow Mission. Tickets will also be sold all day on Saturday, July 16.
The Grafton Historical Society will again have a booth and will be displaying the 125th NY Volunteer Infantry Regimental Flag, photos of Grafton soldiers, excerpts from letters written by Grafton soldiers who served in the Civil War, and maps from the Civil War Era.
The Grafton State Park will have a display showcasing the Park’s facilities and programs, and personnel will be available to answer your questions.
We are expecting to have A special program will be presented by Jorel Spain, Naturalist, with a display of snakes and other reptiles and amphibians that will delight and educate the children.
The Grafton Community Library will have a display of the many offerings of the modern library. Free books will be available to the patrons of the festival, as well as other interesting items. The library will also be raffling a vintage quilt.
We are anticipating the presence of the Grafton Snowmobile Club with a display of some of their new snowmobiles.
Every day more exciting vendors and community organizations are joining the festivities.
