HVCC Foundation Awards Scholarships

Nearly 200 of Hudson Valley Community College’s top students were honored with a variety of academic scholarships recently. The scholarships celebrate the depth of student excellence across the college’s more than 80 academic programs.

Those receiving scholarships include:[private]

Cassandra Bentley of Petersburgh, who was given the Carelli & Gardner Memorial Scholarship. Bentley is studying in the Accounting academic program.

Jackson Burhans of Grafton, who was given the Carelli & Gardner Memorial Scholarship. Burhans is studying in the non-matriculated academic program.

Jordan Cahill of Stephentown, who was given the Carelli & Gardner Memorial Scholarship. Cahill is studying in the non-matriculated academic program.

Alexander Flowers of Petersburgh, who was given the Carelli & Gardner Memorial Scholarship. Flowers is studying in the non-matriculated academic program.

Sarah French of Stephentown, who was given the Carelli & Gardner Memorial Scholarship. French is studying in the non-matriculated academic program.

Nolan Jones of Stephentown, who was given the Carelli & Gardner Memorial Scholarship. Jones is studying in the non-matriculated academic program.

Drew Kells of Stephentown, who was given the Carelli & Gardner Memorial Scholarship. Kells is studying in the Liberal Arts and Science: Humanities and Social Science academic program.

Jeremiah Matson of Petersburgh, who was given the Carelli & Gardner Memorial Scholarship. Matson is studying in the Business Administation academic program.

Sierra Maxon of Berlin, who was given the Carelli & Gardner Memorial Scholarship. Maxon is studying in the Early Childhood academic program.

Matthew Mears of Petersburgh, who was given the Honor Scholar Scholarship. Mears is studying in the Liberal Arts and Science: Humanities and Social Science academic program.

Taylor Meyer of Stephentown, who was given the Carelli & Gardner Memorial Scholarship. Meyer is studying in the non-matriculated academic program.

Matthew Moran of Petersburgh, who was given the Carelli & Gardner Memorial Scholarship. Moran is studying in the Engineering Science academic program.

Ioann Popov of Petersburgh, who was given the Carelli & Gardner Memorial Scholarship. Popov is studying in the non-matriculated academic program.

Derek Riccardi of Stephentown, who was given the Carelli & Gardner Memorial Scholarship. Riccardi is studying in the non-matriculated academic program.

Jon Schermerhorn of Grafton, who was given the Carelli & Gardner Memorial Scholarship. Schermerhorn is studying in the Mortuary Science academic program.

Ryan Shumway of Stephentown, who was given the Carelli & Gardner Memorial Scholarship. Shumway is studying in the Criminal Justice academic program.

Christina Shupe of Berlin, who was given the Carelli & Gardner Memorial Scholarship. Shupe is studying in the non-matriculated academic program.

Sharon Strock of Petersburgh, who was given the New York State Federation of Home Bureaus Early Child/Human Services Scholarship. Strock is studying in the Early Childhood and Assistant Teaching academic program.

Jordan Winn of Berlin, who was given the Carelli & Gardner Memorial Scholarship. Winn is studying in the Liberal Arts and Science: Humanities and Social Science academic program.

Founded in 1953, Hudson Valley Community College offers 80 degree and certificate programs in four schools: Business; Engineering and Industrial Technologies; Health Science; and Liberal Arts and Sciences; and an Educational Opportunity Center for academic and career training. One of 30 community colleges in the State University of New York system, it has an enrollment of nearly 12,000 students, and is known as a leader in distance learning initiatives and workforce training. Hudson Valley has more than 75,000 alumni.[/private]
