Jackson Burhans said he will remember “his teammates and the special bonding they had this year.”  Burhans plans to attend Lasell College near Boston to study athletic training and join the Lasers soccer team in the fall as goalkeeper.  Burhans has won several league awards and state honors in his high school career.

Maggie Gordon will be attending Plattsburgh State, and likewise mentions the bonding she has felt with her teammates and coaches as one of her finest memories at Berlin. “Running has always had a special place in my heart” said Gordon, who hopes to run track and cross country for the Cardinals.  Athletic Director Art Schmich felt it was a great year because so many kids participated in sports.  “In our area there is not a lot for them to do after school, and I feel sports play a vital role in helping to keep them focused, to keep their grades up and to keep them out of trouble.”
