Members of the Rensselaer County Legislature and County Executive Kathy Jimino gathered earlier this month to pay homage to Irv Mason, who served his country in the Korean War, and his town for many years as a Highway Superintendent and Town Councilman. [private] Irv was best known around Grafton for his dedication to his family and community. He retired after 25 years as an operating engineer from Troy Sand and Gravel. Irv loved his country, time with his family, hunting, fishing and trips to York Beach, ME. Seated are members of Mason’s family, including his wife of 61 years, Shirley. [/private]
