Berlin Students Are Back From Costa Rica

May 5, 2016 By eastwickpress

Students, parents, and teachers have returned from Costa Rica and thank everyone who came out to support them by buying pizzas. It was an amazing experience for all. Students learned about sustainable farming and how to use substrate to support gardens when there is a lack of water at E.A.R.T.H. University. [private]BS-CostaRica-wThey planted trees at the Monteverde Forest Reserve and climbed up an old lava flow for a breathtaking view of the Arenal Volcano. They rode horses, hiked, zip lined, and rode aerial trams through the rainforests. Students learned about the history of the country as well as the government, education, and health care. When students travel with EF, it really is :Education First”. We would like to thank the Board of Education for putting their support behind these trips and allowing us to create these opportunities for our students.
Next April 2017 students will be traveling to Italy and in order to help with costs Pizza nights will continue starting this month. As there is no school on Friday May 20 this month Pizza Night will be Thursday, May 19th. If you would like to order early online, email Karen Day by noon on Thursday the 19th at kday@berlincentral.org Otherwise you can order by calling 658-2515 ext 1056 after 3:00 on Thursday.
