The Grafton Community Library has been awarded a grant from The Arts Center of the Capital Region to teach and encourage participation in many art forms, some so old that they date back many generations. [private]
One of these arts is basket weaving. Linda Dayton spent this past Saturday teaching intermediate and advance basket making techniques. About a dozen participants used their basic weaving skills to create large oval or square baskets, with a fixed wooden handle with natural and colored reeds.[/private]
