Two BCS Scholarships Available

Berlin Alumni Scholarship

The Berlin Alumni are accepting applications for the Alumni Scholarship. Any Berlin Senior or graduate who has been accepted into a two or four year college may apply. The application forms are available in the Berlin High School Guidance office. Applications must be postmarked by the May 15, 2016 deadline.

[private]Margaret Kinn Scholarship

This scholarship will be given to a deserving Berlin High School graduate pursuing a business, finance or accounting degree program.

• The student must be enrolled in a 2 or 4 year college;

• The student must maintain a 3.0 GPA and will receive $1,000 for each year completed for the length of the program;

• This scholarship will be awarded to a student to whom it will make a difference, not based upon his or her highest GPA, but to whom it will benefit the most.

To apply, students must write an essay explaining why they are interested in their chosen field, their outside work and extra-curricular activities while at Berlin Central School District and what they hope to do after graduating college. Selection will be made by the Berlin Alumni Association.

Applications are available in the Guidance Office and must be returned to the Guidance Counselor by May 15, 2016.

To receive these Scholarships, the awardees have to be in attendance at the Alumni Banquet on June 4 at 6:30 pm at the Hilton Garden Inn, Hoosick Road, Troy. [/private]
