High school seniors who are residents of Grafton, attending public, private school or home schooled, and graduating this year, are invited to apply for The Ethel Simmons Memorial Award. [private]The Grafton Community Library and the Grafton Historical Society present the $400 award annually in memory of Mrs. Simmons. She was a teacher, librarian, town historian and 4-H leader with a great love of her community and its history. Applicants submit either an essay on some aspect of Grafton’s history or a transcript of a personal interview with at least three people who can relay aspects of their personal history of life in Grafton.
