The Polish hall will hold a turkey contest, open to the public, for all adult and youth hunters during the months of April and May.
Youth contest will begin on Saturday, April 23 and run through Sunday, April 24. Adults will begin on Sunday, May 1 and run through Monday, May 2. [private]In order to participate, you must be signed up at the Polish hall and pay an entry fee of $5 by April 22 for youths and $10 by April 30 for adults. Bring your turkey to the hall on either April 23 or April 24 (youth) and May 1 or May 2 (adult) between 9 am to 1 pm so it can be measured and weighed. The National Wild Turkey Federation Standard Scoring Formula will be used when weighing the turkey. All turkeys must be taken during the 2016 season in strict accordance with all local, state and federal laws and ordinances governing the location where the turkey was taken.
At 3 pm on Sunday, April 24 and Monday, May 2 the winners will be announced. Prizes for the youth and adult contest will be determined by the number of participants registered in each.
A cookout at our pavilion will be held on April 24 for all youth and May 2 for all adult hunters entered into the contest. Any youth or adult just bringing in a turkey to be measured are also invited to join in on the cookout. If you didn’t get a monstrous Tom, bring your bird by anyway. We will enter anyone who brings a turkey in to be measured into a random drawing for a Gift Certificate from Marty’s Sporting Goods valued at $40. Drawing will be held on May 2 at 3 pm.[/private]
