Girls Lacrosse Grabs A Couple Wins; Haynes Gets Goal 100

HF 11 – Holy Names 12

Hoosick Soccer Fields, 4/18. HF O 3-3, L 2-1. This was an exciting game beginning to end. The Panthers scored just 38 seconds into the game. Then they fell behind, came back again and then ended up with a tough loss after hanging in there the entire game. [private]

Being short five players because of a field trip, the Ladies gave it everything they had. Jordyn Haynes scored five goals, Lillian Hickey, Madison Sprague each had two goals, Anna Wysocki and Mackenzie Sprague had one each. Madeline Yeung had five saves in goal.

HF 11 – VVS 0

VVS Soccer Fields, 4/16. The Panthers hit the road to play a game in Vernon-Verona-Sherrill High School, which is just south of exit 33 of the Thruway. With an early start the girls found very agreeable, the Ladies dominated from beginning to end. Lillian Hickey had 3 goals, Cassie Crucetti, and Gracie Gorman each had two. Madison Sprague, Brianna LaBonte, Keelan Seifert and Grace Wysocki each scored once. Goalie Madeline Yeung went 100% on saves, going 4 for 4. After the big win, the gals hopped on the bus and went to Syracuse University, where the Ladies watched the Orange girls lacrosse team play a game, then the team returned home later that day.

HF 6 – Emma Willard 10

Hoosick Soccer Fields, 4/14. After a 4-4 score at the half, Emma Willard outscored the Panthers 6-2 in the second half to head back to Troy with the win. Jordyn Haynes scored a second half goal to give her 100 goals in an HFCS lacrosse career. She is the first player in HFCS lacrosse history to achieve reach this milestone.

HF 6 –  Catholic Central 5

Catholic Central HS, 4/12. The Ladies traveled to Troy for their first league game of the season, returning with a victory. Jordyn Haynes and Kara LaFlamme each scored 2 goals, Mackenzie Sprague and Ashley Foster each scored one. Madeline Yeung had nine saves in goal.[/private]
