Master puppeteer David Lane brings his expertise to the Clark Art Institute Monday, April 18 through Friday, April 22 from 9 am to 12 pm with a spring break workshop for children ages 10 to 15.
Students draw inspiration from the Clark’s collection and spend the week creating their own rod puppets, an art form dating back to ancient Egypt.[private]
This type of puppet is constructed with rods attached to various parts of the body in order to manipulate it.

David Lane is an interdisciplinary artist, painter, performer, and puppet and mask maker.
