Wasaren League Announces MVPs And All-Stars

The Wasaren League recently announced its selections for boys and girls basketball.

HFCS senior Megan Flynn was selected as league Most Valuable Player. HFCS junior Kelly Pine was selected for the first team with junior Lizza Ryan being selected for the second team.

[private]Other first team selections were Emily Erickson (Jr./Tamarac), Abby Higgins (Sr./Stillwater), Hannah Kreiger (Jr./Tamarac) and Kate Kennelly (Sr./Hoosic Valley). Along with Ryan, other second team selections were Helen Mooney (So./Cambridge), Olivia Barnes (Jr./Greeenwich), Sabrina Whitehouse (Jr./Greenwich) and Danielle Stannard (Jr./Hoosic Valley). HFCS Senior Anna Wysocki was selected as honorable mention.

For the boys, Mitchel Wyand, a senior at Stillwater High, was chosen the league MVP.

HFCS seniors Connor McCart and Remington Hickey were selected as first team players. Other first teamers were Evan Dunn (Sr./Mechanicville), Jared D’Aloia (Jr./Stillwater) and Matt Fuller (Jr./Granville).

The second team was made up of George Ostrowski (Sr./Greenwich), Matt Espey (Sr./Hoosic Valley), CJ Tironi (Sr./Mechanville), Giovanni D’Ambro (Sr./Mechanville) and Zach Travis (Jr./Stillwater).

HFCS players senior Alex Mendez (Sr.), Guy Milliman (So.) and Kellan Skott (Sr.) were honorable mentions.[/private]
