Lady Panthers Overtake Mt. Anthony, 64 – 56

After falling behind Monday evening by eight points in the first quarter , the Lady Panthers chipped away at the Mt. Anthony Patriots lead. Then they exploded for 29 fourth quarter points. [private]

By outscoring the host Patriots by 13 over the final eight minutes, the Panthers turned a 40 – 35 deficit into a big eight point win. Kelly Pine led the way with some fancy shooting, scoring 26 points while going 4-7 from three-point land and 10-12 (8-8 in the fourth quarter) from the free throw line. Liz Ryan and Megan Flynn each added ten points. Flynn also ripped down 18 rebounds, eight of those offensive.

The Panthers, who needed to get some three-point shooters, went 8 for 15 from outside the arc. To go along with Pine’s four three-pointers, Eliza Whitman went 3-6 and Anna Wysocki went 1-2 on their attempts.

HF 52 – Tamarac 44

HFCS, 1/8. The Ladies traveled to Brittonkill High to take on the Bengals. After being close throughout the first three quarters, the Panthers broke the game open in the fourth. Outscoring the Bengals 17-7, the Panthers turned a one point, 37-36, deficit into an eight point win. Megan Flynn scored 20 points and added 17 rebounds, Ally Burdick had 10 points.

HF 50 – Greenwich 42

Greenwich High, 1/6. The Ladies led at the end of every quarter as they downed Greenwich. Kelly Pine had 15 points, Megan Flynn scored 11, with Eliza Whitman adding 10 points. Anna Wysocki had 10 rebounds.[/private]
