On Wednesday December 9, a harassment charge filed against Grafton Supervisor Frank Higgins was dismissed by Brunswick Town Justice Robert Schmidt.
[private]Justice Schmidt determined that the District Attorney’s office failed to prove the case against Supervisor Higgins.
Assistant Town Clerk Catherine Goyer filed the charge with police, supported by two witnesses, Councilman Rick Ungaro and Councilman Michael Crandall.
According to Higgins, the testimony that the two witnesses gave offered conflicting stories about what happened.
Justice Schmidt dismissed the charge at the conclusion of the people’s case presentation upon a motion for dismissal by defense attorney Greg Cholakis.[/private]
