Bowling Team Wins First Match

The Hoosick Falls bowling team had their first match of the season at Granville on Tuesday, winning by the score of 4-0.  Hoosick Falls had a match total of 3,722 to Granville’s match total of 2,494.  [private]Top bowler for Granville was Dawson Goodspeed with a 180-503.  Top Varsity bowlers for Hoosick Falls were:  A. J. Hurlburt 256-715, Josh McCart 299-711, Kyla Day 236-641, Jon Bossoni 212-599, Jennifer Sargood 194-570, and Tyler Lindsey 174-486.  We also had some good J. V. and Exhibition scores:  Chris Snyder 214-553, Erin McCart 186, Matt Bulson 181, Dan Suite 181, and Owynn Arnold 172.

Coach Lang said, “The team bowled great for the first match of the season on away lanes.  Josh bowled an outstanding first game of  299 and with strong results from the other Varsity bowlers the first game total was an impressive 1,301. Kyla’s 236 in the second game and A. J.’s 256 in the third game kept up the good results.  Jennifer had a good steady day for the team and ended up with a 570 triple along with Jon’s nice 599 total.  Overall, it was a great effort by the team.”[/private]
