GHS Christmas Tree Festival

The Grafton Historical Society will sponsor its annual Christmas Tree Festival (in miniature) again this year.  [private]The festival will be held at the Everett Wagar Senior Center from Monday, November 30 through Thursday, December 31. Everyone in the community is invited to submit a decorated tree for the festival. There is no fee to enter a tree. All trees must be artificial and between one foot and five feet tall.  Themed trees are encouraged but not required. The deadline for submitting a tree for the contest is Monday, December 7 by 3 pm.  Someone will be at the Center to accept trees on both Wednesday, December 2 between 5 and 7 pm, and on Saturday, December 5 from noon until 2 pm.  Trees entered after December 7 will still be displayed. The public is invited to stop in and cast a vote for the tree of their choice.

An Open House for the community will be held on Sunday, December 13 from noon to 3 pm at the Senior Center, with entertainment and refreshments. Prizes for the best trees will be awarded at the Open House. Categories include: individual child, children’s group, individual adult, adult group, business, organizations, most traditional, and most original.
