The Grafton Historical Society announced it will be sponsoring the annual Christmas Tree Festival (in miniature) this year. [private]Once again the festival will be held at the Everett Wagar Senior Center. It will run from Monday, November 30 through Thursday, December 31.
Anyone in the community is invited to submit a decorated tree for the festival. Prizes for the best trees will be awarded on Sunday December 13 at the Open House. Categories include: individual child, children’s group, individual adult, adult group, business, organizations, most traditional, and most original. There is no fee to enter a tree. All trees must be artificial and between one foot and five feet tall. Themed trees are encouraged but not required.
The deadline for submitting a tree for the contest is Monday, December 7 by 3 pm. Someone will be at the Center to accept trees on both Wednesday, December 2 between 5 and 7 pm, and on Saturday, December 5 from noon until 2 pm. Trees entered after December 7 will still be displayed.
An open house for the community will be held on Sunday, December 13 from noon to 3 pm at the Everett Wagar Senior Center. There will be entertainment and refreshments as well as an opportunity to view all the beautiful trees. The public is invited to stop in and cast a vote for the tree of their choice.
