 submitted by Karen Day

On Friday, November 20 and Saturday, November 21, the Berlin MS Dramateers will perform Disney’s “Lion King, Jr.”. [private]Shows begin at 7 pm each night and tickets are $4 for students and seniors, $6 for adults with a family cap of $20. To pre-order tickets, please contact Suzanne Hermann at 518-658-9837 or by e-mail hermann@fairpoint.net.

Under the direction of Leslie Eliashuk and Karen Day students have worked hard to bring this production to the stage. Eliashuk has worked tirelessly on the music, choreography, and unique costume pieces, while Day has guided students through the creation of the set pieces and together they have helped the students become their characters. Dan Byron adds his knowledge as the technical director of the show. A special thank you to Ms. Noles, Mrs. Wallace, and their Art Club for their assistance creating wonderful props, set work, and costume pieces and several of our high school drama club members that are assisting us with stage crew, lights, and sound. The students will no longer be middle schoolers but they will become Young Simba (Andrew Joyes), Rafiki (Demi DeGennaro), Young Nala (Macayla Roberts), Mufasa (Nikifor Popov), Scar (Will Prather-Homan), Sarabi (Christina Reger), Adult Simba (Ben Prescott) and Nala (Kendra Roberts), lionesses, hyenas, the animals of the African grasslands, Timon (Jackson Flowers), Pumba (Cameron Tobin), and of course the ever wonderful, Zazu (Kasey Billert). Come join us and become part of our “Circle of Life”![/private]
