An encounter with a deer caused a local man to lose control of his vehicle, which landed upside down in a ditch in Grafton. [private]

New York State Police said the driver was not seriously hurt and exited the vehicle under his own power. He was taken to Samaritan Hospital in Troy by the Grafton Rescue Squad Ambulance for treatment. According to Troopers the driver was westbound on Route 2 in the eastern section of the Town, when a deer crossed his path. He veered right but lost control, flipping upside down into the ditch. There were no other injuries and the deer escaped unscathed. The Grafton Fire Department also responded to the scene to help with the rescue and traffic control. There was no fire.[/private]
