August 14 – Kid’s Stuff

The Dirtmeister presents Superheroes of Science – 2:00 pm. Author and celebrity science geek Steve “The Dirtmeister” Tomecek recreates the great scientific discoveries of Archimedes, Isaac Newton, Albert Einstein, Marie Curie, Nikola Tesla, and Galileo. At the Library.

August 20 – Kid’s Stuff – Animal Embassy – 1 pm. 

Meet a diverse group of animals who lead heroic lives. Ice cream social follows. Shatford Park, Route 22, New Lebanon, NY.

August 20 – Literary – Write Your Story – 6:30 pm. 

Memoir writing workshop with author and editor Vivian Dorsel. Advance registration preferred.

August 21 – Music – DBX2 in concert– 6:30 pm. 

A night of jazz standards. At the Library. 

August 22 – Kid’s Stuff – Paws-to-Read – 9 am. 

Therapy dogs come to the library and children read to their furry friends. And, of course, the dogs listen! Please call to register.

August 24 – Community – Study the Constitution – 7 pm. 

Bi-weekly discussion group focusing on the study of the Constitution. Interested participants should bring their questions and be ready to share their opinions.

August 25 – Kid’s Stuff – Block Party: Legos in the Library! – 1 pm. Lego club for kids. We provide the Legos and will display all creations in the library until the next club.

August 26 – Literary – Poet Irene Willis – 7 pm. 

Poet Irene Willis will read from her published work. Discussion and signing follows.

August 27 – Community Film Series – 6:30 pm. 

Free screening of a current documentary film. Call for title.

August 28 – Music – Rev Tor on the Lawn – 6:30 pm. 

An evening of acoustic folk/rock covers and original songs from local favorite Tor Krautter. Bring a blanket or lawn chair, as the concert will be on the lawn, weather permitting. If the rains come, we will move inside.
