An Action-Packed Weekend In Pittstown Features Many Local Riders Competing In Offroad Cycle Racing

June 11, 2015 By eastwickpress

The JDay Offroad GP was held over the weekend on Kautz Hollow Road in Pittstown. Almost 500 riders competed in 30 different divisions. Riders from all over the northeast compete and follow the series where events are held. Most events are held in New England. With the lack of rain, conditions were dry and dusty, making visibility difficult for racers and spectators alike.

Racers with their haulers and equipment filled the hillside next to the event. There was a $10 admission fee to enter the event. There could easily have been over 2,000 people each day of the event.

Some of the local riders who competed were Tanner Wolfrum, Adam Bugbee, Damon Dubois, Mike Mattat, Brody Sargood, Jake Bakaitis, TJ McMahon, Dean Dubois, Parker Bellemare and Zach Bugbee.  [/private]
