Taconic Hiking Club Activities

Friday, March 20: Pleasant Valley Wildlife Sanctuary, Lenox, MA

Celebrate the first day of spring in this Massachusetts Audubon Sanctuary. Up to seven miles of trails wind through over 1,000 acres of Berkshire upland, old fields, and beaver swamps.  Slow pace so we can search for early wildflowers and migrating birds. Admission is $5 for adults and $3 for seniors. Call Susan to confirm meeting time and place.

Road Distance:  Approximately 60 miles RT from Schodack Park & Ride

Friday, March 20: TCT–Petersburgh Pass to Rte. 346, Petersburgh, NY

Rescheduled from February. This trip will require snowshoes and/or microspikes. The ridge is windy in winter. After initial climb from Petersburgh Pass up toward the Snow Hole, we walk along the ridge and gradually down to the terminus of the trail at Rte. 346.
