St. Mary’s Academy recently held its annual learning fair highlighting the talents and skills of pre-k 3 – 8th grade students. The learning fair is a culmination of six weeks of preparation that ends with a finale of exceptional work showcasing a high level of learning.
This year’s learning fair included student constructed projects such as, solar hot dog cooker and a guinea pig maze. Research projects included studies on Alzheimer’s disease, dream analysis and the history of Gettysburg. Chemistry projects included experiments with gallium, dry ice, polymers and chemical reactions. Physical Science studies included aerodynamics and air pressure.
This was the tenth year that St. Mary’s Academy hosted the learning fair. This event challenges students to select projects that broaden their knowledge on subjects they are passionate about.
