Ladies Slash Tomahawks 55 – 30 To Advance

The Lady Panthers handily defeated the Corinth Tomahawks Tuesday evening to advance to quarterfinal play. The Ladies got out to a 17 – 6 lead, and by the half were out of reach for the Tomahawks, 36 – 17.

Megan Flynn scored 23 points and hauled in 16 rebounds as she dominated inside play on both ends of the court. Kelly Pine added 10 points.

With the win, the Ladies move to the quarterfinals. These games will find Panthers scheduled to play at HFCS on Saturday, February 28. Saturday games are scheduled to begin at 6 and 7:30 pm, the Panthers will probably play at 7:30. The opponent will be number nine seed Mechanicville, or number eight seed Fonda. The other game that evening will be between the winners of Ichabod Crane / Hudson and Ravena / Tamarac matchups.
