With only one game on the slate for the week due to midterms, the (12 – 1 overall, 9 – 0 league) Lady Panthers hosted the Mechanicville Red Raiders in the Panther Den at HFCS last Friday.
The Ladies jumped out to a 12 – 6 first quarter lead, then outscored the Raiders every quarter after that to secure the win.
Megan Flynn had another monster game, scoring 19 points, hauling down 18 rebounds and recording seven assists. Kelly Pine was right there with her, scoring 14 points and getting 12 rebounds. Chelsea Stevens added nine points on three three-pointers.
This Friday, January 30, the Ladies travel down Route 67 to play (12 – 2, 7 – 2) Hoosic Valley. The Panthers defeated the Valley 41 – 28 in their first meeting. On Tuesday, February 3, the team will be home against (3 – 8, 2 – 8) Cambridge. On Friday, February 6, the Ladies will be home against (6 – 7, 2 – 7) Stillwater. All games are scheduled to begin at the conclusion of the JV game, or about 7:30.
