• Snow Crafts – Saturday, December 27, from 1 to 3 pm. Kids of all ages are invited to come make some crafts outside in the snow. We will be making our own free form snow candles decorated with natural items (parents will need to help supervise young ones) and making our own maple syrup taffy in the snow. All crafts will be completed outside so please dress appropriately. There is a $1 materials fee.
• Winter Survival Skills – Monday, December 29, from 1 to 3 pm. Could you survive a night in a Northeastern winter? You can give yourself a fighting chance by learning some winter survival skills. Kids will learn how to make a variety of snow shelters and how to build a fire in the snow. Dress to be outside in the snow building shelters. This event is free.
• Subnivean Zone: Life Under the Snow – Tuesday,

December 30, from 1 to 3 pm. Kids will learn the different levels of snow, and we will find the small rodent tunnels that rely on the subnivean zone. Then kids will turn themselves into a mouse, vole or shrew and learn what it takes to survive the winter by building your own subnivean tunnel. Dress to be outside building tunnels in the snow. This event is free.
