Mary E. Watkins

Hoosick Falls – Mary E. Watkins, 83, died on July 26, 2014 at the Southwestern Vermont Medical Center in Bennington, VT, after a battle with cancer. She had resided at 58 High Street in Hoosick Falls, NY. She was the wife of Thomas S. Watkins, who died in 1980. Mary moved from North Carolina to Carey Avenue in Hoosick Falls in 1980.

ob-watkins momMary was born on September 19, 1930, in Odgensburg, NY. She was a devoted wife, mother of ten children, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a former member of the Victory Mills Fire Department Auxiliary. She enjoyed reading, watching old movies and being with her family.

Survivors include her daughter, Rebecca Nadine Nelson, and her sons, Thomas Spencer Watkins 2nd, Craig Colin Watkins and William Henry Watkins, as well as many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is pre-deceased by her daughters, Irene Elizabeth Keegan, Yvonne Marie Ridley, Dianne Susan Keegan and Williamina Henrietta Watkins and her sons Paul Richard Watkins and Edward William Watkins.

Mary donated her body to the Albany Medical College for cancer research.
