HF 7                              Cambridge 2

Last Thursday Panther Baseball played the Cambridge Indians in Cambridge. Cambridge got one run on the board in the bottom of the first, but the Panthers came back in the third to tie it up. Two runs in the fifth and seventh innings gave the Panthers all the offense they needed to come up with a win. Kealan Hitt got the win on the mound. Hitt pitched a three pitch – three out inning in the bottom of the third.

HF 6                                  Tamarac 5

On Friday the Panthers hosted Tamarac on the HFCS diamond. With seven innings gone in the game the score was even at 5 – 5. It would stay tied until Alex Mendez came up in the bottom of the ninth with runners on second and third. On the first pitch, Mendez cracked a single that gave the Panthers a big win. Wyatt Whitman pitched a complete game for the Panthers.

Stillwater 11                                HF 3

Stillwater pitching held the Panthers to three hits in the game at Stillwater HS Monday afternoon. By the third inning, Stillwater held a 7 – 1 lead, and the Panthers couldn’t overcome the deficit. Pitcher Kealan Hitt took the loss.

Hoosic Valley 4                            HF 2

The Panthers grabbed an early two run lead but couldn’t make it hold as Hoosic Valley scored four unanswered runs. Pitcher Peter Murattori took the loss.

The Panthers travel to Greenwich Thursday, May 15, at 3:30 pm, to complete regular season play. The team will find out early next week if it made sectional play and, if it did, when and where they will play.
