Grafton – Clifford A. “Cliff” Gundrum, 73, passed away peacefully at his home on April 29, 2014, surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Grafton, NY, Cliff was the son of the late Arthur and Florence Gundrum. He was a logger, contractor and farmer. He was proud owner of his business, C. Gundrum Contracting, through which he made several friends with residents of the Taconic Lake Association in Grafton. Cliff loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting. His biggest passion was for his animals, especially his cows and his dog that he especially loved, Shadow.
He is pre-deceased by his brother, Wes Vars, Sr.
Survivors include his beloved wife, Patricia Gundrum, his children, Cynthia and husband Charles Minkler, Wayne and wife Tammy Gundrum, Cheryl, wife of the late Gregory Stevens, William and wife Kimberly Gundrum and Anna and husband Scott DeGiorgio, 13 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and his younger sisters, Retta Dunlop and Irene Gundrum. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and wonderful friends and his dearest friend, Wilson Fowler.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 3, at 12 pm at the Thomas M. Barber Funeral Home, Armsby Road, Petersburgh, NY. Interment will follow in the Meadowlawn Cemetery, Petersburgh. Calling hours will be on Saturday morning from 10 am until 12 pm.
