Panthers 3 Schuylerville 8
The Panther baseball team hosted the Schuylerville Black Horses Monday on a perfect spring day. Both teams came into the game undefeated, only Schuylerville left the field that way.

The Black Horses jumped out to a 5 – 1 lead by the end of the second inning. The Panthers had chances to narrow the gap but stranded runners on the bases when that needed big hit didn’t materialize. Schuylerville tacked on one more run in the fourth and another two in the fifth. The Panthers added two more in the bottom of the seventh but ran out of outs to fall 8 – 3.
Starter Kealan Hitt took the loss, going five innings.
Panthers 5 Stillwater 3
On Tuesday, a cool day with threatening weather, the Panthers played ungracious hosts as they beat the visiting Stillwater Warriors 5 – 3. The win gave sophomore pitcher Wyatt Whitman a win in his first varsity start. Whitman struck out five while going the distance for the Panthers.
Alex Mendez and Tom Peabody each belted doubles to lead the offense.
Panthers 10 Granville 6
On Wednesday, an even colder day, with a brisk wind blasting across the HFCS fields, the Panthers once again were the hosts. The Panthers downed the Granville Horde 10 – 6. Pete Muratorri got the win on the mound. The Panthers record is 3-1 in the League, 4-1 overall.
The busy schedule continues with the team playing Hoosic Valley, on Thursday, April 24, at 4:15 pm. On Friday, April 25, the team travels to Bennington to face Mt. Anthony at 4 pm. On Monday, April 28, the team heads up to Granville for a 4:15 start. Finally, on Wednesday, April 30, the team will host Tamarac at 4:15 pm.
