After losing the fi rst game by 180 pins, Hoosick Falls came back and won the second game by 145 pins and won the third game by 16 pins which gave Schuylerville the point for total match pins with a total of 3,373 to Hoosick Falls’ total of 3,354.

Top bowler for Schuylerville was Brady Griffin with a 267-707. Top bowlers for Hoosick Falls were Josh McCart 250-654, Ken Marbot 255-606, A.J. Hurlburt 214-544, Jennifer Sargood 200-538, Stephen Surdam 190-535 and Kyla Day 191-477. The top JV score was Tanner Cahill with a 181-512.

“This was a great match for both teams with some outstanding scores. Our team showed a lot of character when they came back after losing the first game by 180 pins by winning games two and three to earn a well earned 2-2 tie. This was a good learning experience for the team which will help later on in the year just knowing that they can come back after losing a game by a big margin. I was very proud how they never gave up and worked real hard to get the tie on away lanes,” said Coach Lang.

HF 4            Lake George 0

The Hoosick Falls bowling team defeated Lake George on Monday, December 9, by the score of 4-0. Total pins for Hoosick Falls were 3,353 and total pins for Lake George were 2,337. Hoosick Falls now has a record of 14-2, and Lake George has a record of 0-12.

The top bowler for Lake George was Kyle Young with a 254-534. Top bowlers for Hoosick Falls were Josh McCart 245-626, Stephen Surdam 230-600, Ken Marbot 229-585, Kyla Day 199- 542, A.J. Hurlburt 181-530 and Jennifer Sargood 197-470. The top JV bowler was Tanner Cahill with a 150-424.

“We had some good scores, but we were not very consistent. Everybody had a couple of good scores and then a bad score on lanes that seemed very oily. We need to work on adjusting to changing lane conditions especially on away lanes. Every match our new bowlers are learning something new, and it is a work in process for these kids who are experiencing a lot of different lane conditions that we don’t see on our home lanes,” Coach Lang said.

HF 4           Fort Edward 0

The Hoosick Falls bowling team defeated its big rival from the Northern Division of the Adirondack League on Tuesday, December 10, by the score of 4-0. Hoosick Falls had an outstanding total of 3,824 pins to Fort Edward’s total score of 3,184. Hoosick Falls now has a record of 18-2, and Fort Edward has a record of 16-4.

Top bowler for Fort Edward was Natalie Perras with a 229- 590. Top bowlers for Hoosick Falls were Josh McCart 269- 760, Ken Marbot 250-719, Jennifer Sargood 241-638, Stephen Surdam 227-623, A.J. Hurlburt 269-607 and Kyla Day 176-477. The top JV bowler was Tanner Cahill with a 170-428.

“The team bowled outstanding today! Our second game total of 1,383 is one of the highest in a few years and our match total of 3,824 is also one of our top for the Hoosick Falls bowling team. Josh had his high game for the year with a 269 and the teams highest triple for the year with a great 760. Ken had his high triple of the year with a great 719. A.J. had his high game of the year with a great 269, and Jennifer had her high triple of the year with a nice 638. The entire team bowled great with these outstanding scores at the right time against our tough rival Fort Edward. They must keep working hard because we very well might see them again in the league championship match in which they beat us last year by 18 pins,” said Coach Lang.
