After playing their only game more than a week ago, the Lady Panther basketball team took to their home court to face the 1 – 1 Tamarac Bengals. Tamarac’s loss was to Shenendehowa High School. The Bengals are a pick to win the WASAREN League this year.

After the Bengals got out to a quick 5 – 0 lead, the Panthers held their own for the rest of the fi rst half. With just over six minutes left in the third quarter the Panthers were scrapping and hanging in there, down 21 – 10. Slowly but surely the Bengals pulled away for the rest of the game.
On Friday evening, December 13, the Ladies travel to Schuylerville to take on the 0 – 2 Black Horses. Next Wednesday, December 18, the Panthers will host the 3 – 0 Greenwich Witches in the Panther Den. Greenwich is led by former Hoosick Falls Youth Center player Alexis Case. Case later played on Hoosick Falls boys summer AAU teams, easily holding her own, until high school. The JV game starts at 6 pm with the varsity game to follow.
