Celebrating The Rensselaer Plateau

November 15, 2013 By eastwickpress

The Rensselaer Plateau Alliance is sponsoring a joint gallery show from November 15 through the month of December highlighting the Rensselaer Plateau. At the Sand Lake Center for the Arts, view current photographs of the Plateau by three area artists. At the Sand Lake Town Library see an exhibition of materials on loan from the Grafton Historical Society. These include century old photographs from the original glass plates of former Plateau resident Elmer Jacobs and displays recording early activities on the Plateau. Celebrate the beauty and history of the Rensselaer Plateau. Receptions will be held at both venues on November 16 from 1:30 until 3:30 pm. Refreshments will be served. Both locations are handicap accessible. The Sand Lake Center for the Arts is at 2880 NY 43, Sand Lake. The Sand Lake Town Library is at 8420 Miller Hill Road, Averill Park.
