Berlin Girls Cross Country Finishes Fourth In The Sectionals

The Berlin Girls Cross Country team finished fourth in the Section 2 Championships at Queensbury. For the girls Serena Rizzo ran as hard as she could just missing qualifying for the State Championships by one place.  She was able to finish 10th with a time of 22:16.  Behind her was Hannah French in 18th with a time of 23:47, Haley Styer in 20th with a time of 23:49, Gigi French in 32nd with a time of 25:48, Amy Barnum in 40th with a time of 26:38, Molly Ruebel in 43rd with a time of 26:58, Danielle Jones with a time of 28:46, Kaitlyn Moon with a time of 30:31 and Sam Hebert with a time of 30:34.  Serena Rizzo was the only girl for Berlin to make the WASAREN league All-Star team.  The girls are still a young team and have a chance next year to see several new members of the team build their strengths and improve for the 2014 season.
