The goals were her 68th and 69th. With the 68th, Haynes surpassed the previous mark of 67 set just last year by former standout Grace Delurey. Haynes has been a varsity starter since seventh grade. With two and one-half seasons left in her high school career, Haynes has the potential to set a scoring mark that may never be broken.
In Tuesday afternoon action at the home field, the Ladies scored 5 times in each half and shellacked Granville 10 – 0. Mackenzie Hinchliffe scored three goals, Anna Wysocki, Kelly Pine and Hannah Lilac each scored once to record their first varsity goals. Hannah Fricke, Casie Mann, Rachel Pine and Jordyn Haynes each added one goal as the Panthers shell shocked Granville 10 – 0. Hinchliffe recorded three assists. Hannah Fricke had 4 saves; the opposing goalie had 11.
The Lady Panthers’ season record now stands at 9 – 1 – 0.
In games coming up, on Thursday, October 4, the Ladies travel to Tamarac for a 4:15 start game; on Monday, October 7, they travel to Schuylerville for a 6:30 pm start, and on Wednesday, October 9, at 4:15 pm, they take on the Greenwich Witches at home.
