Panther Golfers Keep Rolling

Two matches rescheduled from last week due to heat and storms have made for a busy week for the Panther golf team.
Monday the team faced Cambridge at home. The Panthers came away with a 4 – 1 win. Winning players were Eric Bloomer, Andrew Hoag, Justin Lynch and Will Kennedy. Andrew Hoag shot a 42 to qualify to play at the Ballston Spa Country Club for Sectionals. Eric Bloomer had already qualified.
Tuesday the team traveled to the Schuylerville Black Horses home course at Windy Hills and suffered a 4 – 1 loss. Medalists were two Black

Horses who each shot a 39. Jake Nolan and Justin Lynch each tied their match to garner ½ point each. Bloomer and Hoag each lost their match on the last hole, however they did each post a sectional score.
On Wednesday, the middle  day of their five day, five match marathon, the team bused over Route 67 to Stillwater to face the Warriors at Saratoga Lakes Country Club. They won by a score of 4 – 1.  Hoag, Nolan, Lynch and Kennedy won their matches.
The Panther golf team now has a 9 – 3 record with two matches to play. On Thursday, September 19, the team faces Hoosic Valley at the Hoosick Falls CC at 4 pm. On Friday the regular season comes to an end with a rescheduled match against Greenwich at 4 pm. On Wednesday, September 25, the WASAREN League Invitational will be played at Troy Country Club beginning at 8 am.
