Mountaineers’ Cross Country Teams Excel At Queensbury Invy

The Berlin Central School cross country teams competed in the Queensbury Invitational this past Saturday and had a strong showing in both the girls and boys varsity small schools division. The boys finished 9th out of 24 schools, topping all the class D schools in their division. The boys were led by Evan Dawes with a time of 18:54, followed by Jackson Burhans at 19:08, Travis Riccardi at 19:42, Nick Styer at 19:56 and Alex Flowers at 20 minutes even. The girls were able to finish 11th out of 21 schools. The girls were led by Serena Rizzo at 22:05, Lydia Dawes at 22:06, Hannah French at 24:51, Haley Styer at 25:41 and Gigi French at 25:59. This course will be hosting our league championships for cross country Sectionals and the State championship.
Fall Fest

Please join us at the high school’s Fall Fest and run in the Open Mountaineer 5k on October 19 at the Berlin Central Middle School/High School. Registration begins at 9 am; the 5k race starts at 11 am, and the kids 1 mile Fun Run begins at noon. The pre-registration fee for the 5k race is $15, $20 on race day. The fee for the kids 1 mile Fun Run is $5, $10 on race day. Pre-Registration ends October 6. Look for the link at berlincentral.org.
