The Lady Panthers soccer team started the season off with a big win Tuesday evening. Playing under the lights in front of a nice crowd, the Panthers wanted to show they are going to be a tough team to beat, again. Looking to avenge last year’s defeat by Manchester’s Burr & Burton Academy, the Panthers took control from the Bulldogs at the start and dominated.
The Panthers wasted no time in setting the pace, jumping out to a 4 – 0 halftime lead. The Panthers would score again early in the second half. The Bulldogs scored later in the half to avoid being shut out.
Sophomore Jordyn Haynes led the attack with two goals. Dana O’Malley, Kolumbia Cook and Megan Flynn each put one goal in the books. Hannah Fricke had 14 saves in goal for the Panthers.
Hoosick Falls next faces Granville at the Delurey Field Soccer Complex on September 11. Game time is scheduled for 4:15.
