Andrew Zlotnick – Valedictorian
Andrew Zlotnick, son of Andy and Joan Zlotnick of Petersburgh, is this year’s Valedictorian of the Class of 2013 at Berlin High School. From his academics to his athletic and musical talents, Andrew has been a leader in the Berlin School community.

He was chosen to participate in the All County Band and Chorus throughout high school and has been a NYSSMA participant as well. Andrew was part of the Masterminds team and the Boys Varsity Soccer and Varsity Volleyball teams and Supertroopers. He is also a member of the National Honor Society. He was a volunteer in the community, in particular assisting his brother’s Boy Scout troop.
After graduation Andrew is planning on attending Dutchess Community College before transferring to a four year college. There he intends to pursue a career in engineering.
Daniel von Schilgen -Salutatorian
Daniel von Schilgen, son of Sandy and Chris von Schilgen of Grafton, is this year’s Salutatorian of the Class of 2013 at Berlin High School. Dan is a member of the National Honor Society, participated in Supertroopers and the Boys Varsity Volleyball and Cross Country Teams. Dan was also involved in the high school Drama Club as part of the production crew assisting with the lighting.

Dan spent his senior year as an Early Admission student at HVCC and was recently inducted into Phi Theta Kappa. He has plans to continue at HVCC for another year before transferring to a four year college with plans to pursue a degree in the computer science field.
