Horseback Riding In Stephentown

May 31, 2013 By eastwickpress

submitted by Cassidy Chamberlain, Cinch’em Up Stables
Come be a cowboy or cowgirl for the day at Cinch ‘em Up Stables’ grand opening on June 1 and 2. There will be door prizes and giveaways. Take a horseback ride up on the mountain trails which have amazing views of the surrounding mountain ranges and on most days the beautiful Catskills Mountains can be seen. Or take a ride through the tall grassy fields and ride along the Kinderhook Creek.
Cinch ‘em Up Stables offers one hour guided horseback rides, 1/2 hour guided horseback rides and pony rides. The stables sit on over 430 acres of beautiful riding trails. You can enjoy a relaxing ride through open lush green fields or you can take an adventure through the wooded mountain trails. Whichever you choose you will be sure to see many of the wild life that flocks to the peaceful property.
Come spend a day with real cowboys and cowgirls. All the wranglers compete in rodeo, horse shows, 4H, gymkhanas, jumping, cattle sorting and much more. Hear them tell tales of their horse riding adventures and stories about the real cowboys and cowgirls we all wish we were.
Also at the stables is a 150’ x 250’ riding arena, where almost every night of the week there will be events going on like barrel racing, team roping, cattle sorting, breakaway roping and tons more. Admission is free to the public. No need to bring chairs, come have a seat on our new grandstands and enjoy the arena events.
Starting June 1 the stables will be open seven days a week from 9 am to 4 pm. Cinch ’em Up Stables is conveniently located on the NY/MA line at 365 NY 43 Stephentown, NY. We are 45 minutes from Albany and 25 minutes from Pittsfield. Check us out on the web at Cinchemupstables.com. For any questions, or if you would like to make reservations, call us at 518-733-5949.
