On Tuesday the Panther Ladies softball team faced the Hoosic Valley Indians in their first home game of the 2013 season. The Ladies entered the game with a 2 – 2 record. Alyssa Ellis pitched the game, filling in for injured starting pitcher Erika Quackenbush. Quackenbush was injured last week sliding into home and is out for an undetermined amount of time. The Ladies struggled to get runners on base and then to move them when the opportunities were there. The Indians ran past the Panthers for a 10 – 1 win. Next up for the Panthers will be Greenwich away, Thursday, April 11, at 4:15 and home against Granville, Monday, April 15, with a 4:15 start.
